eric-api-files software package provides API description files for use with eric, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install eric-api-files
eric-api-files is installed in your system.
Make ensure the eric-api-files package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep eric-api-files *
You will get with eric-api-files package name, version, architecture and description in a table
